Beacon is a Canadian technology company. If you inquire about or apply for a job with Beacon or any of our affiliates, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials). We use this information to process and respond to your application for current and future career opportunities.
Financial and Related Information
We collect personal and financial information you give us as a result of using our services , such as your Social Insurance Number, bank account number, bank account information, and credit/debit card number.
Under certain circumstances we will also collect and save information obtained from scanned copies of official identification documents, including your Passport or Drivers’ Licence, and your picture, video/audio recording, or other evidence of yourself with your identification documentation.
We will collect information about your usage of our services, including your transaction history, the geographic location from which the transaction originates, and how and to whom you use the services to send or receive money.
We will collect information that we lawfully obtain from third parties, such as identity verification services, electronic database services, and credit reporting agencies.
For India: We may collect your Aadhaar and PAN Card related data, including your demographic details for the purposes of verifying your identity to use our services. We collect your Aadhaar data based on your voluntary and informed consent. Please note that the provision of your Aadhaar related data is voluntary, and you may choose to provide us with other officially valid documents notified by financial regulators such as passport, voter identification document and driving licence for such purposes.

We collect information generated through your actions when you use the Beacon app or our websites, including information regarding your interactions with the Beacon App, and preferences or statistics regarding your use of our services.

Log Data and Usage Information
You can visit our website without indicating who you are or submitting any personal information. However, we collect and log the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all visitors to our website and other related information such as page requests, browser type, operating system, and average time spent on the Beacon App and our website. We use this information to help us understand activity and to monitor and improve the Beacon App and websites.
Analytics
We may use third parties, including Google Analytics, to help us gather and analyze information about the areas visited on our websites in order to better understand, evaluate and improve the user experience and the convenience of the our websites.
Social Media Information
If you engage with our content through social networking websites, plug-ins and applications, we may collect certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture, gender)

If you wish to stop receiving marketing communications, recommendations, and/or offers, you can easily opt out by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email or, if you have the Beacon App, by adjusting your communication preferences through your account settings. While we strive to promptly address opt-out requests, we appreciate your understanding in allowing us a reasonable time to process them. Please be aware that opting out of marketing emails does not affect communications related to your use of our products or services or other essential matters.

You may To authorize or direct other third parties, which could involve linking your account with a third-party service, account, or platform, such as Fairexpay for the purpose of remitting funds to and from India. For the purposes of this privacy policy, “account linking” refers to a connection you enable between your Beacon account and a non-Beacon account, payment instrument, or platform that you lawfully control or own. When such a connection is authorized, Beacon and the third-party will exchange personal and other information directly. Examples of account connections include linking your Beacon account to a third-party data aggregation or financial services company, provided you furnish them with your account login credentials. If you link your Beacon account to other banking or similar accounts, either directly or through a third-party service provider, we may gain access to your account balance and transactional information, such as purchases and fund transfers. If you opt for an account linkage, we may receive information from the third-party about you and your utilization of their service. All information received from a third-party via an account connection will be handled in accordance with this privacy policy.
6. How do we protect personal information?
We Implement and Maintain Safeguards
We implement a range of measures to protect your data, including physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. These measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your personal information. We limit access to your data to only those personnel who require it to perform their duties, and strict confidentiality obligations bind all individuals with access.

We may use a variety of new technologies and social media options to communicate and interact with users, potential users, employees, and potential employees.
